Bubba Hutchison
My story begins in Newport News, VA (where I still work & live) on May 15, 1979 – when I was born at Riverside Hospital. I spent my entire childhood growing up on the Chesapeake Bay shores in Seaford, VA and graduated high school from York High. After graduation, I headed south to East Carolina University for 2 years before transferring to Virginia Tech. I spent my final two years cheering on Frank Beamer’s Hokies and graduating with a degree in History. I took my degree, put a nice frame around it, and moved back home to York County and never used it.
I ultimately took a job helping to run my father’s automotive repair business, a fixture in our area, for over 50 years. The following 17 years of my professional life were spent leading that business with dedication towards serving others – our customers and our employees. Once I took ownership of that company, I decided it would be best to build a team to run the operations. At the same time, I branched out into other ventures that focused on my deep experience in business, relationship building, and customer service.
That ultimately led to starting my 2nd career in Real Estate. Building on my intimate knowledge of the local area, extensive professional contacts and network, and commitment to serve my clients on a unique, personal level – Hutchison & Company – A RE/MAX Connect Real Estate Group was born.
I’m married to my beautiful wife Amanda with three kids – Jett, Claire & Lilly, and a Cavapoo puppy named Frankie. Personal passions include being a little bit of a fitness enthusiast, including barely finishing three full marathons but countless half marathons! I’m also a big bookworm, ask me about some of my latest reads! I also love boating, and the fact that we are lucky enough to have access to this much waterfront in coastal Virginia makes it possible! More recently, I’ve also become somewhat of a podcast nut.
I have an undying love for my Washington Football Team, a cold beer, a perfect glass of wine, and all things foodie.
